Who is Giovanni?

Giovanni Zora is an architectural designer based in Metro Detroit. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture, and is currently pursuing a Master of Civil Engineering to further understand the relationship between land, water, and the built environment.

Giovanni Architects is a single-person design studio focused on residential architecture with an interest in designing alongside water — whether natural or manmade.

What Do We Do?

Working alongside custom home builders for many years, residential architecture has become a primary focus of the studio. The work includes custom homes, additions, renovations, and site planning. When the opportunity presents itself, projects are approached with an interest in how the architecture relates to land and water, whether through waterfront conditions, water collection and reuse, views, reflections, or the relationship between a home and its surroundings

What is Our Mission?

Designing for people. Every project begins with the individual, how someone lives, moves, gathers, and experiences a space day to day. At the same time, architecture should respond to the people around it collectively, considering families, neighborhoods, and the surrounding environment.

The goal is to create spaces that feel personal while maintaining a connection to the people and place around them.
